Current Opening:Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is an important part of Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village’s (BNHV) operations. This person coordinates various administrative tasks related to Operations and Visitor Services. Organization, time management, ability to work independently, and ability to coordinate multiple projects and schedules are key.
This position is full time and reports to the Deputy Director.
Key Duties ● Manage Guest Services operations, including opening and closing duties and performing visitor services desk duties ● Manage, coordinate, supervise, and support Visitor Services Team and Facilities Team members ● Manage museum’s operational and logistical needs, such as event planning, facility maintenance appointments, visitor services scheduling, ticketing, financial reporting, supply inventory, etc. ● Manage organizational space use and maintain the space use calendar ● Manage facility rentals, including handling renter inquiries and tours, event preparation, and serving as day-of facility coordinator ● Manage the volunteer program, including recruitment, training, and supervision ● Process daily mail and outgoing organizational mailings ● Assist with administrative tasks for Executive Director and Deputy Director ● Other duties as assigned
Expectations ● Strong administrative or office management background ● Exceptional organizational, time, and detail management skills required
Hours and Schedule ● Full Time, 40 hours per week. ● Schedule is Tuesday - Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. Additional hours required for events, rentals, and programs. ● On-site role.
Wage Hourly Range: $20 - $22 per hour
