Lecture & Demonstration: Green Wood Working

Join us for a Lecture & Demonstration: Saturday, November 7th!

Join Paul Borden, Wales Hollow Wood Butcher, at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village in an engaging session where we will explore working green wood. In 1978, John Alexander published Make a Chair From a Tree: An Introduction to Working Green Wood. This introduction, along with the book Lost Country Life by Dorothy Hartley, piqued 40+ years of Paul's interest and research into making everyday items. Paul's work is done exclusively by hand using only sharp tools. No machinery and no electric tools are used. Everything is done using heritage methods. Join Paul Borden for an exciting lecture and demonstration, as he introduces you to the methods used for centuries to make things you need.
