Join us for a Lecture: Saturday, May 16th!
Attendees will learn beginner garden design.
Join Nora Saintz at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village for a lecture on beginner garden design. Great gardens aren't accidents. They're the result of a handful of principles anyone can learn. In this class, you'll get the foundational design concepts professionals use, translated for the DIY gardener.
We'll cover how to read your site, choose plants that will thrive in the conditions you have, and apply the design fundamentals (scale, repetition, layering, and seasonal interest) that separate a collection of plants from a cohesive garden. We'll also talk through common beginner mistakes and the myths that cost gardeners time and money.
Bring a notebook and your questions. You'll leave with a clearer understanding of design and a practical approach you can apply to your own yard.
