May Scout Textile Artist: Sheep to Shawl

When you see all the colors and textures of fabrics and yarns, do you dream up a million things to do with them? Come join us and learn about the textile arts and make a project of your own. Participants in this program will:

-learn what the words fiber, fabric, and textile mean

-learn how raw fiber is turned into yarn, and yarn into fabric

-make your own textile to take home

All Scouts are welcome to attend this program. Participation in this program will meet some of the requirements for Senior Girl Scouts' Textile Artist Badge and Boy Scouts' Textile Merit Badge.
