Maple Weekend

Saturday & Sunday, March 24th & 25th

9:30 am – 4:00 pm

Join us for this family-friendly, hands-on day

as we explore all things maple.

 

 

Maple Weekend features a lumberjack breakfast and educational programming. Please see below for full offerings and ticket information.

 

Programming

Offered 10:00 am – 4:00 pm March 24th & 25th.

Featuring maple science demonstrations provided in partnership with Reinstein Woods and a maple sugar tour covering the history of maple sugaring led by Maple Sugar experts and our oxen, Jack and Flynn. This tour features hands-on, interactive stops such as a tree tapping station, a 19th century sugar arch, maple sugar making in Elliott House, and maple taffy making in the Steffen Education Building. Hay rides will also be provided (weather permitting).

Museum, Farmstead (don’t forget to visit our chickens, sheep, ram, and oxen), and Historic Village will be open with demonstrations by costumed interpreters, the Woodwrights Guild, the Blacksmiths Guild, the Quilters Guild, the Lace Guild, and the Weavers Guild. The Museum Gift Shop and Rubeck House will have locally produced maple products for purchase.

Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear for outdoor exploration.

Seatings

Breakfast will be served from 9:30 am until 12:00 pm in open seating style. Prepaying for your ticket(s) is encouraged, as it allows for ease of check-in at our Will-Call area on the day of.

Please note, tables can be reserved for large parties only (8+). To reserve a table for a large party, please call 716-689-1440. Tables are reserved for 9:30 am only. Party must check-in by 9:45 am or table will be released to open seating.

Programming Tickets

Adults and Children are $8 each for Programming ONLY. Programming only tickets are available for purchase at the door only.

 

Reservations recommended. Pancake Breakfast seatings sell out fast! To make a reservation, please call 716-689-1440. Walk-ins are welcome, however we cannot guarantee a seat without a reservation. We recommend walk-ins call prior to ensure there is availability.
