This class will instruct you on how to construct your own shave horse to make timber pegs, shingles, or anything else that requires that third hand. If you are handy with a drawknife you know you need a shave horse. There are a few different styles we will pattern from, one will fit your needs.

Class will be held Saturdays 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for 4 total sessions.

Class will begin Saturday, May 5th and conclude Saturday, May 26th.

Students will meet in the upstairs workshop of the Steffen Education Building at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village. Students are welcome to bring their own woodworking tools. However, BNHV is able to provide all tools necessary for constructing this shave horse.

Price

Non-Members $50.00; Members $45.00. If you wish for the Museum to buy your materials, please add a $20 supply fee.

Limited to 10 persons. 16 years of age or older.
