Part of a Series on Traditional Ways and Means



This class will instruct you on how to construct a very practical bench to do all kinds of woodworking on. This bench can be put in your trunk or truck and transported to any workplace. It also breaks down to create two sawhorses for sawing or working on just about anything.

Class will be held Thursdays 6:00 – 9:00 pm and Saturdays 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for 8 total sessions.

Class will begin Thursday, April 5th and conclude Saturday, April 28th.

Students will meet in the upstairs workshop of the Steffen Education Building at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village. Students are welcome to bring their own woodworking tools. However, BNHV is able to provide all tools necessary for constructing this bench.


Non-Members $50.00; Members $45.00. If you wish for the Museum to buy your materials, please add a $20 supply fee. Please note, vices are not included.

Limited to 10 persons. 16 years of age or older.
