A Day of Guitar and Harmonica Workshops, Break-out Jams, Concert
BNHV and our Heritage Music Guild are pleased to host a concert and workshop presented by The Sportsmen’s Americana Music Foundation. The 90-minute workshops will run concurrently Saturday afternoon in advance of the evening performance.
Workshops – 2:00PM
- $20 general admission / 10 for SAMF Members / $15 for BNHV members.
- Workshop prices include the concert performance and admission to BNHV.
Guitar Workshop by Frank Fotusky
Piedmont style / finger-picking Acoustic Blues in the style reminiscent of the great East Coast “Piedmont” players such as Rev. Gary Davis, Blind Boy Fuller, John Jackson, Blind Willie McTell, to name a few. A majority of Frank’s material is culled from the ’20s, ’30s and ’40s. Harmonica Workshop by Grant Dermody
Americana Roots Style – harmonica player, singer, songwriter, and teacher. Workshop will address relaxation, tone and expanded repertoire. “No Depression” magazine called him a “harp wizard with a panoramic view of roots music styles, both old world and new.” More at: www.grantdermody.com

- BNHV Heritage Music Guild “Porch Pickers” ensemble will open
- $8 general admission / $5 for SAMF and BNHV members
- Come early and enjoy access to the museum and all other scheduled activities — museum and grounds close at 5PM.
Coinciding with this event on the grounds at BNHV is the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Encampment 10:00AM-5:00PM, Parade at 12:45PM and Quoits (Horseshoe) Tournament.
