“You’ve Changed A Lot Since 4th Grade . . . So Have We!”
If you’re one of those people that say, “Oh, I haven’t been there since I was in fourth grade!” whenever The Buffalo History Museum, the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village (formerly the Amherst Museum) or the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site comes up in conversation . . . then you’re going to want to take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience these museums in a brand new way.
Back again for year two, each museum will host a special “Adult Field Trip” one evening this fall (schedule below). On tap are activities, refreshments, and history we simply can’t share with nine- and ten-year olds.
The “Adult Field Trip” schedule is as follows:
Thursday 09/14/2017 – 6:00-8:00 pm – The Buffalo History Museum
Part One in the series explores the weird, wacky, and wonderful things we couldn’t show you on your 4thgrade field trip. Enjoy an evening of exploration in our resource library. Tours, hands-on activities, and refreshments will be available as well for this adult evening of fun!
$7 adults, $5 students & seniors, members free*
No reservations required.
Thursday, 9/21/2017 – 6:00-8:00 pm – Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site
Part Two in the series is a real insider’s look at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site. This irreverent and interactive romp through one of Buffalo’s most historic buildings will explore corners of the museum we don’t visit and things we don’t talk about on the “standard” tour.
$15 per person, limited to 10 participants
Thursday, 9/28/2017 – 7:00-9:00 pm – Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village
Part Three in the series is a behind the scenes tour at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village. This tour will be led by our Curator and will include a tour of exhibits, historical buildings and grounds, as well as a walk through of our state-of-the-art collections storage building where you’ll see some rather risque objects that you’ve never seen before!
$10 per person, $8 for members
No reservations required. Walk-ins very welcome!
Anyone who attends two or more of the “Adult Field Trips” will be entered into a drawing for some awesome museum swag.
